Come Act Days in Partnership with Glasgow City Council Learn Department 2019

In May 2019 we worked with 180 young people from 15 different schools across Glasgow in a joint project with GCC's CREATE Department. The result was 6 performances with full lighting and sound in Scottish Youth Theatre’s Brian Cox Studio.

Each day we worked with 60 young people: day one 1st years, day two 2nd years and day three 3rd years. Split into two groups, led by directors Brian and Jen, each morning the participants wrote and devised scenes inspired by the blueprint from Company Three’s Brainstorm and additional stimulus given by their director. Brian and Jen then pulled the material together to create performances. Afternoons consisted of technical rehearsals with a professional sound and lighting technician, followed by performances to the other groups, teachers and invited guests.

What an EPIC 3 DAYS!!! 😳🤩

180 young people from 15 different schools across Glasgow6 performances made in 4 hours (each) with 2 directors and 1 technician and SO MANY ideas, laughs and moments of tenderness.
